PROJECTS

REC4localEU

This 1-year ERASMUS+ Small-Scale Partnership project was launched by three partners (Cooperativa So.L.e., europAledro, Integrity.Earth) in November 2023.
The goal of REC4localEU is to set out the conditions for the development of job skills and knowledge in the field of renewable energy in order to create a community of informed and active citizens, willing to cooperate for the promotion and diffusion of energy community initiatives such as Renewable Energy Communities – RECs) in rural and mountainous European communities.

In particular, the objectives of the project are the following:

  • ACQUIRE technical and socio-economic knowledge for the development and promotion of RECs at local level with the involvement of local, provincial and national experts active in RECs;
  • CREATE a first transnational collaboration between three organisations active in renewable energy and local engagement initiatives;
  • RAISE AWARENESS/TRAIN the local population on the importance of renewables in the fight against climate change via:
    Local events open to the public to discuss the RECs and promote them on the territory;
    A selected group of engaged citizens to be involved actively (participation in workshops, exchange events).

At the end of the project, the consortium delivered a series of recommendation (how to best set up a REC at local level, what the hurdles, what the advantages, green employment, etc.) and made available to the public.

ClimateLink – Enhancing climate awareness and bridging researchers with resilient communities – CLI(n)K

Proposal submitted under the ERASMUS+ Program in October 2023. CLI(n)K aims to develop adults’ abilities to assess the quality of the environment through scientific observation. This will increase their knowledge of the impacts of climate change and their perception of how landscape and human activities are closely related. Furthermore, it will offer adults an innovative opportunity to learn and practice simple monitoring techniques through a peer exchange with ecology professionals.
